Picture yourself in lush tropical gardens with a vibrant view of blue Carribean Sea, white sand beach and verdant rain forest mountains. The cool sea breeze is caressing your skin and the waves are lapping on the beach below in their steady yet powerful rhythm. The sun is warming your body and the air is filled with the songs of birds in the surrounding trees, hanging their delicious fruits seductively over the balconies- Welcome to Maca Bana.
‘Maca’ is the ancient Arawak word for tree, ‘bana’ means place of dwelling... Maca Bana is a blend of the ultimate privacy and individuality of a villa and the personal services of a tiny boutique hotel. The intimate collection of seven solar powered ‘banas’ is perched on the edge of the cliff above the uniquely tropical and cosmopolitan Aquarium Restaurant and boasts gorgeous ocean views from private massaging hot tubs on every sun deck. Each of the spacious 2-bedroom and 1-bedroom villas is named after an indigenous fruit tree and artistically designed by resident fine artist and co-owner Rebecca Thompson.
Maca Bana is for those who are looking for something different, not another hotel room, but an individual, unique ‘getaway’ to just be and to enjoy life.
Our one-bedroom villas Paw Paw and Rock Fig are quietly nestled on the edge of the cliff above the beach. A view with a room and a room with all the comforts and amenities imaginable. Both air-conditioned banas are spacious and utterly private.
Your beautifully appointed kitchen is fully equipped with fine European stainless steel appliances, truly a gourmet cook’s dream: fridge with freezer & ice maker, gas stove, oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, blender and coffee maker along with all crockery and cooking utensils.
The bedroom has a stunning four-poster king size bed, a writing desk, ceiling fan, flat screen cable TV, alarm clock with iPod dock, stereo-system with CD-player, wireless internet access, safe and iron and ironing board. The upholstered love seat allows you to enjoy a gorgeous view through the bay window. The en suite bathroom has double vanity sinks with recessed medicine cabinets, a shower and a separate toilet.
A mosquito screened French sliding door leads onto the sun deck with covered dining area, sun beds and your private massaging hot tub.

If you are looking for a tropical paradise with lush green vegetation, panoramic views, beaches, waterfalls, whale watching, sailing, diving, scuba and other water sports then Grenada offers it all.
Grenada is popularly known as "The Spice Isle" because of the abundance of locally grown spices, culture, music, dance and food. In fact, there are many more spices per square mile in Grenada than any other place in the world. Not only does the 'Spice Isle' produce nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, ginger and cloves; this lush land of mountains, rainforests, waterfalls and secluded beaches has also given birth to an intriguing social climate.
Grenada by nature is a great place for outdoor recreation by land or on sea. For the energetic, there are national parks and hiking opportunities aplenty: game fishing and yachting in Grenada is also highly recommended and is among the best in the Caribbean. A full array of water-sports is on offer alongside tennis and golf and the underwater world beckons both novices and experts to the splendid array of coral’s and tropical fish bordering the west coast. For those adventurous souls there are also numerous wrecks are waiting to be explored!
Grenada also has a very lively nightlife. There are many restaurants, bars and clubs open till the early hours of the morning, which offer good music and drinks at a relaxing West Indian pace.
With something for everyone, Grenada is a fantastically varied holiday destination, just waiting to provide each and every vacationer with what will truly be, the holiday of a lifetime.
Bana is almost secretly located on a hillside, overlooking The Aquarium Restaurant on one mile long, white sand Magazine Beach and the turquoise Caribbean Sea all the way to the lush rainforest mountains beyond. The walk from your villa down the hill to the beach only takes 2-3 minutes, depending on which corner of the tropical garden your bana is located in.
This property is situated in Point Salines in the southern part of Grenada’s quaint capital city parish, St. George’s. Off the beaten path yet still conveniently close to banks, shopping, restaurants and nightlife - most of which is only 5-15 minutes drive away.
It is 5 minutes away from Maurice Bishop International Airport, 7 minutes from Grand Anse Beach and 15-20 minutes from St. George’s. It is easy to find your way around in Grenada and the owners are happy to help you with rental car arrangements if you wish.
