Emerald Seas Villa offers 6,000 sqft of stately accommodation. Recently restored using only the best materials and a fine attention to detail, Emerald Seas Villa more resembles a private resort than a rental home.
The villa is an elegant two-level private home built into a mountainside beside the blue-green Caribbean Sea. Stone steps wind down through a bougainvillea-draped walkway to a sunning platform on the clear buoyant water for which Emerald Seas is named. Wonderful snorkeling can be enjoyed on this coral reef. The open-plan living room leads to a 500 sqft verandah and panoramic ocean view. Also on the main floor are the four large bedrooms, each overlooking the deep blue water.
Glass doors open from the pool terrace to the family room, equipped with bar, games, television and sound system. Speakers fill the lower level and pool terrace with music. The family room can be used as a fifth bedroom with kingsize or twin beds and en-suite bath.
The inside dining room is built into a natural rock formation. Just outside are the al fresco dining area and large private pool. Long sunsets from the pool terrace are breathtaking. Standing against the railings on verandahs or pool terrace, it is easy to imagine being on the prow of a ship gliding smoothly over the sea. The soothing sound of the surf is ever present, from the spacious bedrooms to the outdoor dining area. Candlelight dinners sometimes are enchanted by the dramatic show of distant lightning on the night horizon.
Emerald Seas’ state-of-the-art kitchen and creative chef merit special mention. Equipment includes a bread-maker,waffle-maker, ice cream maker, microwave, Jenn-Aire, Cuisinart, dishwasher and icemaker. Each morning, the aroma of today’s fresh-baked bread lures guests to the breakfast table. The outside barbecue treats guests to special dinners of tenderloin, chicken, fresh fish and lobster.
On request the butler will arrange water sports: jet skis, water skiing, private fishing trips on 32 to 58 luxury boats, beach-hopping on a private 38‘ speed boat, moonlight champagne cruises, snorkeling and Dunn’s River trip.
Emerald Seas was nominated in 2006 and 2007 for World Travel Awards' “Jamaica’s Leading Villa”.

Ocho Rios is the spanish for 'eight rivers' - ironically enough this is a misnoma, as there arent actually 8 rivers in the area. It is most likely thought to be a corruption of the original spanish name 'Las Chorreras' which means 'the waterfalls' - given to the village because of the nearby Dunn's River Falls - a superb tourist attraction!
In the last 25 years Ocho Rios has developed from a rather small sleepy looking fishing village into one of Jamaica's main tourist attractions. Largely as a result of its history this Jamaican port town offers much to the vacationer - to those nature lovers and duty free shoppers as well as historians!
Ocho Rios has its own unique feel which draws in tourists from all over the world, many of whom return over and over again. It retains the feeling of a bygone era, and colonial times.
For the nature lovers, Ocho Rios is ideal, known worldwide for its botanical gardens, waterfalls, and wildlife. High above Ocho Rios is the most magnificent garden, with several acres opf lawn that are terraced with a beautiful waterfall, tropical blooms, shrubs, indigenous and imported trees, and a simply stunning rose garden.
The Dunns River Falls also contribute largely to Ocho Rios fame throughout Jamaica. The powerful river cascading over large rock steps as it makes its way down to join the sea truly is a sight to behold, and for those adventure lovers the rocky stone steps that make up the falls are about 600 feet in length from top to bottom and allow for adventurous climbing - ideal for when a cool shower is needed on a hot day!
Ocho Rios has a real sense of tranquility, and wil pass this onto each and every vacationer who arrives - there are several celbrities and writers who have experienced this and who have owned properties and visited Ocho Rios over the years, including Ian Fleming (the writer of the James Bond series.)
There are many attractions in Ocho Rios, catering for every different type of tourist looking for their perfect holiday destinations. Thes include: Horseback Riding, Polo, Golf, Tennis, Shopping, Scuba Diving, Deep Sea Fishing, Swimming and Sun Bathing.
An overall varied, cultural, tranquil yet exciting holiday destination.
