Here at Villa Oceana, where the Sapodilla beach definitely ranks among the ‘enviable beaches’, your comfort levels will be gratefully familiar, the pool is entirely yours for the duration.
Accommodations at Villa Oceana are arranged to create easy access to the full width terrace covered by a roof overhang, and the similarly full width pool. The terrace is outfitted for outside dining and lounging, and the pool features a chest high wall which increases the privacy levels that are established by the indigenous growth and tropical landscaping on the grounds.
The villa is single storey and the main house features 2 bedrooms with an additional private sleeping quarter, the self contained guest unit 1 bedroom, all with air conditioning, which is metered and charged. The main house features a large air conditioning unit in the living area which cools the central living and dining areas. Here you will find a seating area with entertainment centre including Satellite TV, VCR and stereo as well as a separate lounge area perfect for relaxing with a good book.
The large kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher, stove, microwave and a host of smaller electronic appliances. A separate utility room houses the washing machine and tumble dryer. From the kitchen you walk through to the spacious dining area, and then down to the sunken lounge and living area.
The master bedroom contains a king size bed and benefits from a large private patio, furnished with rattan chaises, from which you can relax and take in the wonderful ocean views. The second bedroom features twin beds, which can be dressed as a King if so desired. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. A bunk bed is available in the children's sleeping nook, which is suitable for one child or one adult.
The self contained guest suite benefits from a spacious bedroom area with king size bed, en suite bathroom, living area and kitchenette, and air conditioning. Cable TV and a VCR are also included.
The beach itself benefits from an off-shore breeze that creates calm waters which, in this location have evolved into a wide crescent of shallow crystal clear ripples that gradually deepen into the pure turquoise waters of the outer harbor, where most often a small cluster of sailboats swing at anchor – awaiting the perfect moment to continue their travels to, or from, the lower Caribbean. The neighborhood includes several popular Rental Villas, and the beach attracts small local family groups on weekends, however most of the time it is as peaceful as it is inviting.
Within walking distance a most attractive inside-outside restaurant – ‘Las Brisas’ – offers succulent dining in a beautiful romantic setting; Turtle Cove and the Grace Bay shopping area provides an abundance of watersports choices, boutique and souvenir shops, spas, café and fine dining venues, while Leeward hosts our well known Golf Course, and the Island-Hopping ferry service.

Situated a mere 575 miles southeast of Miami, Florida, nestled between the Bahamas and the Caribbean, the Turks & Caicos Islands are as close to paradise as you will find anywhere on Earth. Though little known, the islands offer the best of the Caribbean – 230 miles of powdery white beaches, the third largest coral reef system in the world, and a seemingly endless supply of sparkling turquoise water.
Providenciales or ‘Provo’ as its more commonly called, is the home of Grace Bay Beach, a 12-mile stretch of pristine, flour-like sand recently voted “Best Beach of All Tropical Islands in the World” and “Best Caribbean Beach” by Conde Nast Traveller magazine. In addition, the Turks & Caicos Islands were also named “Best Undiscovered Caribbean Destination,” a “Best Snorkelling Site,” and “Best Beach for Romance” by Caribbean Travel & Life magazine readers.
Provo’s reputation as a quiet Caribbean hideaway with award-winning beaches and stunning dive sites has grown increasingly over the past few years, but still the islands remain relatively anonymous. Good Housekeeping magazine says, “There may be times on these white beaches when you wonder if the rest of the world has disappeared,” while House & Garden magazine boasts, “Turks & Caicos is a sanctuary for nature-lovers and for those who want to get away from it all.” And Conde Nast magazine calls Turks & Caicos “an untouched land of endless contrast and natural beauty, a place that must be seen to be believed,” while Bride magazine calls TCI the Caribbean’s “newest hot spot,” but adds that the islands remain “unspoiled” and “gloriously unpopulated.”
Providenciales is also home to the Princess Alexandria Marine Park which is also the playground of ‘Jo Jo’ the famous bottlenose dolphin. Vacationers can visit Conch Farm to discover how to grow conch from tiny veligers to four-year-old adults. For water lovers, Providenciales is Turks and Caicos’ hotspot for the best water sport activities, from diving to deep sea fishing.
Turks & Caicos is one of the Caribbean’s mildest, most pleasurable locations. Winter temperatures average 70°F with daytime highs of 80°F and night-time lows of 65°F. Summer months are warmer, averaging 83°F. Daytime highs can reach 90°F with night-time temperatures dropping to 75°F. Humidity in the Turks & Caicos Islands is always very low.
The Turks & Caicos Islands also enjoy a great deal of sun, averaging just 22-40 inches of rainfall annually, with the lower totals accumulating in the south (Grand Turk, Salt Cay, and South Caicos) and the higher totals in the north (West Caicos, Providenciales, and North Caicos). Surface ocean water temperatures range between 78°F and 82°F in the winter months, (perfect for swimming and snorkelling) and are even higher in the summer months, when they reach between 82°F and 86°F.
Villa Oceana is located on Sapodilla Bay, the quiet sheltered South Shore of Providenciales.
Sapodilla Bay is one of the favorite beaches of the locals. It is often called “Childrens Bay.” The ocean in front of the Villa is shallow out to approximately 100 meters and then drops off allowing large sailboats and Yachts to anchor, taking advantage of the Bay’s protected nature.
