Bird Nest Villa epitomizes Caribbean style living with truly breath taking 180-degree views from the property's open terraces. The property is a dream home - perfect views, distinctive open plan architecture, traditional Caribbean shingled buildings and a beautiful tropical garden. The property is secluded and provides perfect privacy in an elevated setting. The villa was designed by architect, Robertson Ward, who designed the Sandy Lane hotel in Barbados. Three separate buildings are linked by covered walkways around the large central pool. The design is perfect for a tropical, outdoor lifestyle and the central pool area spanned by an attractive bridge creates a romantic environment.

The villa is located in the North West corner of the Cap Estate which is generally regarded as the premier residential area of St. Lucia and is home to several good beaches as well as to the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club.

The property is either a ten minute rather steep walk or a short drive to Anse Du Cap beach. The 18 hole golf course at the St. Lucia Golf and Country Club, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis and an award winning spa, as well as many of the island's best restaurants are all within a ten minute drive.

One of the most enchanting islands on earth, Saint Lucia seems to have been designed for romance. Its lush mountainous interior, filled with hummingbirds and cascading waterfalls, combined with palm fringed coves and warm azure waters create a magical backdrop for any occasion. This tropical paradise is further enhanced by a charming people and fascinating history.

As well as relaxing in the sun, we understand that most guests want to experience as much of our beautiful island as possible. We have therefore reviewed and edited the dozens of tour options available, and are delighted to recommend some to you, which in our opinion offer great value and will show you the best of Saint Lucia.

Sunset Cruise - A wonderful evening out on the majestic "Brig Unicorn" (as featured in Pirates of the Caribbean), dancing to the sound of steel band music while you sip champagne or rum punch, nibble canapes and watch the sun set over the Caribbean Sea.

Day Sail to Soufriere - After sailing to Soufriere you will visit the botanical gardens and drive-in volcano, snorkel in the marina national park, lunch is served on-board and on your sail back to Rodney Bay you will see Marigot Bay.

Whale/Dolphin Watching - A wonderful half-day in search of these awesome creatures - no guarantees but with 85% of trips recording sightings, the chances are that you will not be disappointed.

Atlantic Coast Horse Riding - A great way to see the rugged Atlantic Coast, culminating in a bareback ride in the sea!

Piton Climb - Pick up by boat/taxi from Rodney Bay and transportation to the boat that will take you to Anse La Voine, at the base of the Gros Piton. Climb the mountain with a trained guide with rest stops on your way. Enjoy the view from the top of the peak and take pictures. Lunch on the beach and swimming. Boat ride back to marina.

Jeep Safari - Tour on landrover jeep passing the Castries market, Governor's house viewing point, off-road drive across banana plantations, small rivers and through the rainforest, local fruit tasting, rainforest walk with waterfall, maybe a quick stop for swimming in a nearby bay, Anse La Raye, Marigot Bay and back to your villa.

Rainforest Skyrides - Discover the natural wonders of St. Lucia's rainforest on the Rainforest Skyrides located in the interior of the island. A fascinating eco-tour with a unique birds-eye view from the open-air gondolas of the abundant life in the tropical canopy. A nature guide will accompany you on your ride and explain the flora and fauna of the St. Lucian rainforest. Take a walking tour on our nature trail or stop at the Hummingbird Cafe for a snack. This tour is a great adventure for the entire family and can also be taken by persons with limited mobility.

Rainforest Canopy Adventure Tour - Although this ride does not demand physical ability, the adrenaline rush is like no other. It is a rocket ride 30-50 ft off the forest dloor on 500 ft runs of cables suspended between platforms. The course is a system of integrated cable and rigging carefully designed to deliver a thrill safely. Between zips there is plenty of time for a unique view of the forest, the birds, and plants that inhabit it. We have a Rainforest Canopy Adventure Tour which is fun for the whole family, and it is a Caribbean memory you will talk about long after your holiday is over.

Deep Sea Fishing - Go deep-sea fising on one of the many motorboats with an experienced crew. Fish for yellowfin tuna, marlin etc. depending on season. Beer and soft drinks included. Full and half-day options available.

Pigeon Island National Park - A five minute drive (or moderate walk!) from the villa. Spend a lazy day in this beautiful National Trust Park, with two good bars/restaurants, showers, secluded beaches, historic ruins and the old fort. Stunning views from Signal Hill over Martinique and St. Lucia. Entrance fee.

Castries Market & Duty Free Shopping - Take a taxi or drive with your rental car to the markets on Castries waterfront. A small ferry can take you to the other side of the harbour, to Point Seraphine - the island's largest duty free shopping complex. Don't forget your passport and airline ticket so that you qualify for duty free prices.

Gros Islet Street Party - The celebration of another weekend! Cheap drinks and reasonable BBQ food are sold by vendors in the main street of this traditional fishing village, against a background of carnival tunes and Caribbean music.

Snorkelling - We are lucky enough to have some of the best snorkelling in the island on our doorstep. Anse du Cap and Smugglers' Cove are both just minutes from all our Villas.

Sports - Many different sporting activities are available in St. Lucia, such as golf, kite-surfing, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, diving, windsurfing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, tennis, squash, cycling etc.

Services
Maid service is provided 5 days a week. The gardener is at the property 2 days a week. The property is managed by Kris who will welcome you to the property and advise on any aspects of your vacation. Kris is on call 7 days a week to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in St. Lucia.

The villa is a perfect venue for special occasions such as birthday and anniversary celebrations, weddings, family reunions, small business retreats, or just a group of friends vacationing together with or without their children. We love to help you plan your special occasion and can arrange any of the following:

For families travelling with children we have the following equipment available for your convenience: portable crib, bed rail, high chair, baby gates, toys and books, baby bath, umbrella stroller, pool floats, kids video library, pool gate. Our cooking staff will be happy to prepare some special meal for your children if necessary.

For Business Retreats we are able to set up one of our rooms as a meeting room with conference table and flipchart. By request you can utilize our computer facility to check your email, receive fax messages or use our copy machine.

In addition we can organise treatments such as massages, manicures and pedicures on site.

We are located close to some of the best dive spots in St. Lucia and will be happy to organise group dives or certification programs for your group.

The St. Lucia Golf & Country Club is only five minutes away by car and we will be happy to make reservations for you and your family and friends for a game of 9 or 18 holes ahead of time.

Villa Conditions
- No children under the age of 10 years of age.
- Included in the rental rate are all taxes and cleaning fees, housekeeper (Mon - Fri except on public holidays), gardener/pool attendant two days a week and a concierge on duty 24 hours a day.
- All rental rates are based on two persons per bedroom and are subject to change.
- Rates do not include food and beverages and service fees.
